Installation Instructions
Memory Card Installation
Install the Memory Card
Please make sure the device is not powered on first. Insert the memory card half way in (refer to the silkscreen printed pattern beside the memory card slot) and use the finger nail or a paper clip to push the card all the way inward until it clicks and locks in place.

Remove the Memory Card
To remove the memory card, gently push its edge inward until it clicks and pops out, and then simply pull it out of the slot.
Notes:
- Please purchase a memory card separately and make sure to usea branded Micro-SD card with capacity of up to 512GB.
- Before first time use, please format the memory card to prevent any errors and for smooth operation.
- Do not remove the memorycard while the device is turned on.
Camera Installation
The wiring and power-taking installation method of the device include the following types. You can scan the QR code below to watch the setup video.

- Cigarette Lighter Power Supply
Insert the car charger into the cigarette lighter, and connect the car charger and the device through the power cord. Most of the power cord will be embedded in the plastic guard plate of the car, and a small part will be exposed in the car. This wiring method is simple and easy to operate.
Step 1: Select a Suitable Position

Step 2: Connect to Power and Calibrate Installation Position
Open the DDPAI App, go to “Device” > “Add a Device”, then tap “Enter Device” to access the real-time preview interface. Select “Start Installation Setup” and follow the on-screen instructions to adjust and confirm the mounting position of the camera.

Attention:
- Front Windshield Mount: Ensure the camera is horizontally centered, and keep the lens upright facing downward. Verify that the lens is not obstructed by the rearview mirror.
- Dashboard Mount:Ensure the camera is horizontally centered, and keep the lens upright facing upward. Place the camera as close to the windshield as possible for optimal imaging.

The cigarette lighter receptacle might be positioned differently in your car. The figure above is provided for reference only.
- Connect the Fuse Box (Intelligent Hardwire Kitis Required)
This wiring method ensures neatness and beauty in the car, and enables parking monitoring function at the same time. However, the wiring process is complicated. To avoid vehicle damage due to improper operation, please have the installation completed at a professional automobile service shop.

The intelligent hardwire kit needs to be purchased separately or by purchasing a package including the hardwire kit.
- Connect the OBD Interface(OBD Hardwire Kit is Required)
This wiring method is easy for operation and can also enable the parking monitoring function.
Step 1: Plug the Type-C connector of the OBD power cable into the Type-C port of the device.
Step 2: Connect the other end of the OBD power cable to the OBD port of the vehicle.

- The OBD hardwire kit needs to be purchased separately or by purchasing a package including the OBD power cable.
- The location of the OBD port varies depending on the model. The above figure is for reference only.
App Connection
Note:
As the app is constantly upgraded, the actual operation may be slightly different from the following description. Please connect your device to a phone according to the prompts in the DDPAI App.
Downloading DDPAI App
Please scan the QR code below or search for "DDPai" in Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) to download the DDPAI App.

Bluetooth Connection
Step 1: Power on the device. Turn on the Bluetooth of your mobile phone.

Step 3: Launch the DDPAI App, tap “Device”> “+ Add a device”.

Step 4: Select the current device name (DDP25XXXX) in the detected Bluetooth device list.

Step 5: Press the function button on the device to authorize.

If you fail to search the Bluetooth device, you can tap "Rescan" to search for the Bluetooth device again.

- The device can only connect to one phone at a time via Bluetooth.
- To connect a different phone, please either turn off Bluetooth on the currently connected phone, remove the device from the app, or reset the device to allow another phone to connect via Bluetooth.

After successfully connecting via Bluetooth, you need to connect to the camera via Wi-Fi to view the device album, adjust settings, or access the preview interface.
- For iPhones:
Step 1: Tap "Go to connection" > "WLAN"

Step 2: Select the current device "DDPAI_MINI Vision_XXXX". Paste the password directly into the edit box, or choose to enter the password manually (default: 1234567890). They tap “Join”.

- For Android Phones:
If the Wi-Fi function is turned on normally, the system will automatically connect without the user having to manually connect.

If the Bluetooth connection fails, you can also select to connect the device by using built-in Wi-Fi feature.
① Launch the DDPAI app, enter the "Device" page, tap "+ Add a device", enter the "Choose your device" interface, and then tap "Device without screen".

② Tap "Next" > "Connect to Wi-Fi" in turn, and the detected Wi-Fi of the device will be displayed.

- For iPhone:When you enter the“Settings”interface, select "WLAN" > "DDPAI_MINI Vision_XXXX", enter the initial password (1234567890), and tap Join.

- For Android phones:In the Wi-Fi list, select "DDPAI_MINI Vision_XXXX", enter the initial password(1234567890), and tap Connect.

Function Introduction
Note:
Due to the continuous update and upgrade of the app, the actual operation may be slightly different from the description below. Please follow the actual operation instructions in the app.
Video Function
● Preview Video
After connecting the App to the camera, go to the real-time preview interface to switch between Fisheye View, Split View, Panoramic View, and VR View modes.

Touch Controls
- VR mode: Drag the screen to adjust the viewing angle. Pinch with two fingers to zoom in or out on the preview image.
- Panorama mode: Pinch with two fingers to zoom in or out on the preview image.
Gyroscope View Control
In VR mode, if you turn on the Gyro feature, you can rotate your phone to explore the 360° VR view.

It is currently in preview quality and can be viewed in HD quality by downloading.
● Playback Video
- Drag the progress bar to select the time starting point to view.
- Tap the thumbnail or wait for 5 seconds to start playing the previously recorded video.
- You can also switch between Fisheye, Dual Split-Screen, Panorama, and VR modes during video playback.

● Download Video
Method 1
- Drag the progress bar to select the time starting point to download.
- Tap
to enter the downloading interface. - Tap "Complete" to complete the download. The file will be saved to the local album and can be shared and deleted.

The length of each video ranges from 5 seconds to 3 minutes.
Method 2
- Tap
on the “Device” interface. - Hold the video/photo file you want to download to enter the selection state.
- Select the video file you want to download and tap Download.
● Template Editing
Apply dynamic templates to edit your panoramic footage and share your highlights effortlessly.

Taking Photos
This device supports the following photo capture methods:
- Collision Detection: Automatically takes photos when a collision or hard braking is detected.
- Voice Control: Say "Take photo" near the device microphone.
- App Capture: Open the preview interface and tap
to take a photo. - Remote Control (Optional): Press the wireless remote control to capture the current scene.

- Collision detection and voice control will simultaneously generate associated videos (default duration: 10 seconds) when taking photos. Photos and associated videos are saved in the "Snapshot" / "Emergency" tab of the "Device Album" interface.
- Before using voice control, please make sure "Local Voice Control" is enabled in settings.
- The remote control feature requires a compatible wireless remote control (sold separately).
View photos or videos on the device
After connecting the device to the mobile phone, launch the DDPAI App. Tap“Device Album” on the "Device" interface, and you can view the captured photos and videos on the device.

The video and photo files are stored in the device's storage memory and are not downloaded to your mobile phone. Please connect to the device to your mobile phone through the DDPAI App to view or download these files to the local album.
View photos or videos on your phone
When the captured photos/videos on the device are downloaded to the local album of your phone, they will be moved to the mobile phone for storage, and can be viewed without connecting the mobile phone to the device. Launch the app and tap the "Local Album" tab of the "Device" interface. Then you can view photos or videos downloaded to your phone.
Automatically download snapshot/emergency files:
You can choose to automatically download snapshot/emergency files to the local album after connecting the device. Open the app, tap "Me" > "App Settings", and enable "Automatically download snapshot files" / "Automatically download emergency files" function.
- Share/delete photos or videos
After entering the "Local Album" interface, hold the file to enter the selection state, then you can delete videos, photos, and emergency files downloaded to your phone or share them to social media accounts.
Parking Monitoring
When you select the intelligent hardwire kit to take power, the parking monitoring function can be realized. After the vehicle is turned off, the device will automatically enter the parking monitoring mode. If an emergency occurs, the device will automatically take a photo and generate a related video. You can set the parking mode and vehicle battery protection voltage value.
① After the mobile phone is connected to the device, launch the app, and tap “Device Settings” > “Enter after the vehicle has stalled”.

② Select the parking monitoring mode.
Time-lapse Recording Mode
In this mode, the device records continuously at a low frame rate after the engine is turned off to save storage space.
- Operation: The device enters time-lapse recording automatically upon engine shutdown.The night vision mode will be automatically turned on in time-lapse recording mode to ensure clearer night parking recording images. It enters sleep mode when the preset timer expires or shuts down completely if low battery voltage is detected. Once shut down, it can only be awakened by starting the ignition.
- Collision Detection: If a collision occurs during time-lapse recording:
- The device captures a photo (filename starts with "G").
- It records a 10-second related time-lapse video.
- It records the collision event (an alert will sound the next time the ignition is turned on).
Sleep Mode
This is the power-saving mode. After the engine is turned off, the device stops recording and enters a low-power standby state, waking up only upon impact.
- Standard Trigger:
- Upon detecting a collision, the device captures a photo (filename starts with "G" and ends with "L").
- It wakes up to record a 30-second video, then returns to sleep mode.
- Intelligent Logic (Continuous Events):
- If collisions occur frequentlyfor 2 minutes, it switches to Time-lapse Recording.
- During this time-lapse phase, if no collision is detected for 30 seconds, it returns to sleep mode.
- Low Voltage Protection: If low voltage is detected, the device shuts down completely and requires vehicle ignition to reactivate.

- The parking monitoring mode requires the intelligent hardwire kit (optional).
- If you use the app to keep the connection with the device, the device will not enter the parking monitoring mode. You need to disconnect from the app before the device can enter the parking monitoring mode.
Collision Detection & Locked Videos
When the device is in working mode, when a collision is detected (such as a sudden braking or collision of a vehicle), it will generate an emergency photo and an emergency-related video, and store them separately. These files will not get deleted by loop recording function.
● Setting Camera Sensitivity
The higher the sensitivity of the device, the easier it is to trigger photographing/taking videos; The lower the sensitivity of the device, the less likely it is to trigger photographing/taking videos.
The default collision sensitivity of the device is "Medium", and it supports the selection of collision sensitivity in seven levels: "High", "Medium-high", "Medium", "Medium-low", "Low", "Off" and "Custom".
Select the appropriate collision sensor sensitivity. In emergencies such as vehicle collision or sudden braking, the device will be triggered to take pictures and generate an emergency photo and video. If you select "Off", in emergency situations such as vehicle collision or sudden braking, there will be no photos and videos. You can switch the collision sensing sensitivity of the device through the following steps.
① After the mobile phone is connected to the device, open the app, enter the "Device" interface, tap "Device Settings" > “Adjust collision sensitivity”.

② Select "Driving" / "Parking" and set the appropriate sensitivity.
● Set the Duration of Related Videos during Shooting
The default related video duration of the device is "10s" and supports 3 options: "10s", "20s", and "30s" . You can follow the steps below to set the duration of related videos during shooting.
①After the mobile phone is connected to the device, launch the app, enter the "Device" interface, tap "Device Settings" > “Duration of related videos during shooting”.
② Set the duration of the short video according to your needs.
- 10s: After the device detects a collision, it will generate an emergency related video of 5 seconds before and after the shooting time.
- 20s: After the device detects a collision, it will generate an emergency related video of 10 seconds before and after the shooting time.
- 30s: After the device detects a collision, it will generate an emergency related video of 15 seconds before and after the shooting time.
- Off: After the device detects a collision, it will still generate an emergency related video of 5 seconds before and after the shooting time.
AI Parking Sentinel
Note:
This feature requires the optional intelligent hardwire kit. Real-time 4G alert notifications require the 4G Cloud Box and networking with the compatible Z90 Master dash cam (both sold separately).
The AI Parking Sentinel provides advanced security for your parked vehicle, using AI recognition and G-sensor technology to detect and deter potential threats.

Installation requirement: The device must be mounted on the windshield or dashboard by following the in-app installation guide animation (mounting elsewhere may reduce detection accuracy).
Suspicious Approach Detection
Activated 15 minutes after entering Parking Mode, the camera monitors the surroundings during your set time frame. If someone loiters within 1 meter (3 feet) of the vehicle for over 2 seconds, the camera flashes a red circular warning light for 5 seconds to actively deter suspicious activity.

- AI Parking Sentinel performance depends on environmental conditions. Detection accuracy may be affected by low lighting (e.g., dim streetlights at night), facial obstructions, strong glass glare, or interior blockages (such as pillars, seats, or window decals). For optimal results, ensure a clear view for the camera.
Collision Detection & Alerts
If a collision or intrusion is detected (active 15 minutes after entering Parking Mode), the device will immediately perform the following actions:
- Sound a 10-second siren.
- Lock and save the current video footage.
- Push a real-time 4G alert notification to your smartphone.

AI Off-Vehicle Detection
Note:
Real-time 4G alert notifications require the 4G Cloud Box and networking with the compatible Z90 Master dash cam (both sold separately).
Powered by AI recognition, the camera monitors the vehicle interior after the vehicle is turned off and sends real-time alert notifications to your smartphone if any safety risks or forgotten items are detected.
Detection Coverage:
- Children & Pets: Detects live subjects left inside the vehicle.
- Personal Belongings: Detects forgotten items such as phones or bags.

- AI Off-Vehicle Detection performance depends on environmental conditions and detection timing. Detection accuracy may be affected by windshield glare, low ambient brightness, or interior blockages (such as pillars, seats, or window decals). Note that the system identifies items by comparing changes between engine start and shutdown (activated 10 minutes after engine shutdown); items present before starting the engine will not trigger an alert. For optimal results, ensure a clear view for the camera.
Multi-Device Interconnection (Optional)
The camera features πLink technology for multi-device interconnection. When you purchase the compatible Z90 Master dash cam that supports πLink function and successfully network them, you can view real-time recordings from both devices on a single mobile phone. Additionally, you can perform operations such as video playback and downloading.
● Device Connection

Installation Tips:
- Front Windshield Mount: Ensure the camera is horizontally centered, and keep the lens upright facing downward. Verify that the lens is not obstructed by the rearview mirror.
- Dashboard Mount:Ensure the camera is horizontally centered, and keep the lens upright facing upward. Place the camera as close to the windshield as possible for optimal imaging.
- It is recommended to mount the primary device (e.g., Z90 Master) on the front windshield with the lens facing outward.
● Networking
Notes:
- The πLink function currently supports up to two devices to network at the same time.
- Please make sure that both devices are powered on normally before networking.
- During the networking process, the "PrimaryDevice" and "Secondary Device" are distinguished. When panoramic camera is networked with other devices, it defaults to a "Secondary Device".
Method 1: Networking via App
1. Power on both devices.
2. Follow the steps below to add the two devices to the device list of the DDPAI app via Bluetooth.
① Turn on the Bluetooth of your phone.
② Launch the DDPAI app, enter the "Device" interface, and tap "+ Add Device".
③ Select the current device name (DDPXXXXXX) in the searched Bluetooth list.
④ Press the function button on the device to authorize.
⑤ After the first device is successfully connected, tap "+" in the upper right corner of the "Device" interface to add a second device. For specific connection methods, refer to Step 1 to Step 4 above.

3. On the "Device" interface, you can see the two added devices. Tapthe "πLink" button. When the "Device Networking" pop-up window pops up, Tap the "Networking" button.

4. After the networking is successful, the images of the two devices will appear on the "Device" interface.

Method 2: Networking via Device
- Power on both devices.
- On the main screen, press
(Settings)> πLink to enter.

- Press
button to start networking.

- Follow the on-screen instructions and quickly double-press the button on the secondary device (panoramic camera) to confirm.

● Switch Device
You can switch by tapping
(Switch) button or tapping the device image you want to preview. After switching devices, the "Device" interface will display the function details of the current device.

● Set the Orientation Mark
You can set the orientation mark according to the current device installation situation to indicate the direction of the current device's lens. Tap "Device Group Settings" > "Device Orientation Marker", check the mark and tap the "OK" button. After the setting is completed, the corresponding mark will be displayed on the device album and other interfaces, so that you can better find the files recorded by the relevant device.

Note:
Only the orientation mark of the secondary device can be modified. The mark of the primary device is forward by default.
● Disconnect Networking
Tap the "Disconnect Networking" button on the "Device" interface. After ungrouping, the video files will be separated into the albums of the devices to which they belong.

SR Mode (Optional)
Note:
SR Multi-View requires networking with the compatible Z90 Master dash cam (sold separately).
When networked with the Z90 Master successfully, the camera supports the SR function in Split View mode, allowing you to overlay real-time driving data onto the footage to create immersive, high-tech videos.
View Real-Time SR Effects
- Ensure the panoramic camera is successfully networked with the Z90 Master dash cam (refer to 4.7 Multi-Device Interconnectionfor details).
- Connect your phone to the camera via the DDPAI App, select“MINI Vision”, and tap "Enter Device" to access the live preview.
- Switch to "Split View", then toggle on the "SR" switch in the bottom-left corner to view real-time SR effects.

Notes:
- SR Multi-View requires networking with the compatible Z90 Master dash cam (sold separately).
- Ensure the Z90 Master dash cam is successfully positioned.
Generate and Share SR Videos
- Tap “Device Album”and download the video you want to share.

- Tap Share. You can then crop the video, customize it with SR effects and background music.

- Tap Confirm and you can share this video to social media platforms such as DDPai community, WeChat, Facebock, etc.
4G Interconnection (Optional)
Note:
4G Interconnection features require connection to the 4G Cloud Box and networking with the Z90 Master (both sold separately).
Equipped with a 4G Cloud Box, the dash cam supports 4G connectivity. Once a SIM card is inserted into the box, the dash cam enables advanced 4G features, including remote vehicle monitoring, entry and exit notifications, cloud storage for critical files (captured photos or associated videos), and collision alerts.

- MINI Vision does not support direct connection to the 4G Cloud Box.
Remote Control (Optional)
Once the device is paired with its wireless remote control, you can capture a photo of the current driving scene during your drive by pressing the wireless remote. When the photo is taken, the device will emit a shutter sound. If the associated video feature is enabled, an video clip before and after the photo will also be generated.
Note:
The wireless remote control needs to be purchased separately.
- Before First Use
Remove the transparent plastic strip from the wireless remote, press the remote, and the indicator light (blue) will turn on, indicating that the wireless remote is ready for use.

- Paring
Note:
Before using the wireless remote to capture photos, you must first pair the device with the remote.
- After connecting the device to the“DDPAI”app, enter the 'Device' interface of the app, then tap “Device Settings” > “Remote Control Pairing".

- After tapping the 'Pair' button, bring the wireless remote close to the device and press the button 3–5 times quickly. Once pairing is successful, the screen will display 'Pairing Successful,' and when you press the wireless remote, the device will emit a photo capture sound.
Note:
After tapping 'Pair,' you must complete the pairing within 10 seconds. If pairing is not completed within 10 seconds, tap 'Pair' again and repeat the pairing process.
- Replacing the Wireless Remote Battery
The wireless remote uses a standard 3V CR2032 lithium-manganese button battery. If the indicator light does not turn on when pressing the remote, it indicates the battery is low and needs to be replaced.
- Hold the top and bottom of the remote with both hands and rotate it slightly counterclockwise until you hear a click, then open the remote.

- Remove the old battery and insert a new 3V CR2032 lithium-manganese button battery, ensuring the correct polarity (the side with the text facing up). Close the lid and rotate it slightly clockwise until you hear a click, indicating the remote is properly assembled.
Data Transmission
Gently remove the memory card from the card slot of the device, insert it into the card reader, then plug it in the computer, open the "DCIM" folder, and browse or edit the photos or video files saved in the device.
- 200 video: This folder contains normal recorded videos and time-lapse recorded videos in parking monitoring mode. The file name oftime-lapse recorded video begins with "S".
- 201 photo: This folder contains photos generated by collision sensors. The file name ofnormal photographs begin with "N"; Collision-sensing pictures begin with "G".
Maintenance
Firmware Upgrade
Open the DDPAI App, connect the device Wi-Fi, and tap "Me" > "About DDPAI" > "Check version" and the app will automatically detect whether the App version and the firmware version are the latest versions. If there is a new version of the firmware of App or device, upgrade the version according to the operation displayed on the screen.
Note:
During the upgrade process of the device, please do not cut off the power, otherwise the upgrade will be unsuccessful or the device will be damaged. If a sudden power outage causes the upgrade to fail, please consult customer service, download the latest upgrade package, and copy the upgrade package to the DCIM folder of the device.
Safety Precautions
Before using this product, please read all precautions and operating instructions to ensure correct and safe use.
- Please do not debug the device or watch the video on your mobile phone while driving, and pay attention to driving safety.
- Please do not installthe device in a location that may block the driving view.
- Make sure to use the power cord included in the product package. Other power cords may cause fire or short circuit and electric shock due to defective products.
- Make sure to usea branded Micro-SD card with capacity of up to 512GB. When using the device, please do not insert or remove the memory card. Please format it through the App before use, otherwise it will not be recognized. It is recommended to format the device regularly through the app to ensure better maintenance of this product.
- Please do not open the device shell or repair it yourself. If this product fails, please call the official customer service for relevant consultation.
- The device is not only suitable for vehicles, but can also be used in other places and can be powered by an adapter.
- If a power adapter is used for power supply, an adapter that meets standard requirements should be purchased for use.

FAQ
- How do I format a memory card?
Format the memory card (Method 1): After the mobile phone successfully connects to the device, enter the "Camera Settings" interface, tap“Storage Management”and you can select to format the memory card.
Format the memory card (Method 2): Remove the memory card, insert it into the card reader, and connect it to the computer. Find the memory card drive, right-click and select "Format".
- How to export the driving video in the memory card?
Use the card reader to connect the memory card with the computer, and you can export the driving video.
- What is the Wi-Fi password of the device?
